Booking tips

  • As a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the most popular attractions in Spain, booking your Alhambra tickets in advance is highly recommended to secure your entry.
  • Keep your entrance ticket and ID handy throughout your visit, as you'll need to show them multiple times. Consider having both the QR code on your phone and a printed paper ticket accessible, especially in case your phone battery is low.
  • Arrive at the Nasrid Palaces entrance at least 30 minutes before your specified time slot to ensure you don't miss your entry. This allows enough time to locate the entrance and queue.
  • For visitors with limited mobility, wheelchair rentals are available at the Entrance Pavilion. Follow the disabled route signs for a comfortable visit. Please be aware that the Alcazba has uneven terrain and entry after sunset is prohibited for safety reasons.
  • Utilize the free lockers at the Alhambra to store one medium-sized bag per person. These lockers are conveniently located near the Carlos V Palace.
  • Opt for the Gate of Justice entrance. This entrance, closer to the Alcazaba and Nasrid Palaces, typically has shorter lines than the main gate.
  • Bathroom facilities between the Alcazar and Nasrid Palaces are limited, so plan accordingly, especially if traveling with children.
  • Avoid Saturdays, public holidays, and days following a Spanish Puente (long weekend) for fewer crowds. These periods tend to be the busiest at Alhambra.
