It's easy to buy tickets; it's not immediately clear that the admission time refers to the entrance to a building and not to the entire complex. I found it difficult to access the tickets and the audio guide.

Visitor tips

  • Get your Alhambra tickets online in advance. Tickets get sold out quickly since it’s one of the most popular tourist attractions in Granada.
  • Make sure you wear sunscreen and comfortable shoes because you’ll have to walk around a lot.
  • Carry your original passport/driver’s license with you. The staff can ask for ID at any point. You will not be allowed inside without it.
  • Most sections of the Alhambra are wheelchair friendly except the Alcazaba due to its ancient structure.
  • Backpacks and luggage are not allowed inside Nasrid Palace. Storage lockers are available for visitors.
  • If you’re traveling by car, paid parking is available right outside Alhambra. Bus numbers C3, C30 or C32 will drop you right in front of the entrance.
