What to bring

• It is mandatory to carry the original passport or official ID card for every visitor, including children. No photocopies or digital copies are accepted. If you don’t present proper documentation, entry will be denied.
• Headphones and a fully charged smartphone are required to use the audio guide. Download instructions will be sent with your voucher—make sure the app is ready before arrival.
• Wear sturdy walking shoes. The Alhambra complex covers several kilometers and involves uneven paths, steps, and gardens.
• Only bags smaller than 40 × 40 cm are allowed. Small bags with personal items are permitted during the visit. If these bags are backpacks, they must be carried at the front of the body to avoid inconvenience to other visitors or contact with the walls.

What’s not allowed

• Food, drinks, alcohol, sharp items, and large luggage are strictly prohibited. All bags are screened, and security has the right to deny access to restricted items.
• Tripods, drones, professional photography or filming equipment cannot be brought inside without prior written authorization.
• Skip-the-line tickets only bypass the ticket counter. Security checks are compulsory for all visitors and wait times may occur, especially during peak hours.

Accessibility

• Most areas of the Alhambra, including the Generalife and main courtyards, are wheelchair accessible. However, some sections may have limited access due to historic architecture.
• Guide dogs with proper certification are permitted.

Additional information

• Admission is valid only at the time slot printed on your ticket. Late arrivals will not be allowed under any circumstances. Arrive early to clear security in time.
• Entry is name-specific. The names and passport numbers provided at booking must match the IDs presented on site. No name changes are permitted once tickets are issued.
• Visiting times and routes may change at short notice due to conservation measures or official events. Refunds are not provided for these changes.
